2012.06.28 Outside my own window
I enjoy traveling and recording far-away places and people with my camera.
But I also find it wonderfully rewarding to see what I can discover outside my own window.
You only need to study the scene with the eyes of a photographer.

from the Exotic Felice Rescue Center's website

And, at the Rescue Center,
the place to stand is several feet away from the fence :)

2012.06.22 Not the camera
I'm grateful for simple pleasures
such as sitting at an outdoor table,
in the shade on a still-hot evening,
waiting on pizza,
with loving and fun family . . .
The important thing is not the camera, but the eye.
